Well, we made it home from ————— on Saturday night and the house is still standing. (Thanks for house- and cat-sitting, Collin) I made the first pass at the mountain of mail and newspapers yesterday, and I’ve spent most of today catching up on personal and business emails. This part of travel is not fun (neither is unpacking and laundry), but it’s worth it for the fun we had.
As I mentioned in my last post, I am planning to put together a full trip diary when time permits, but for now I think it would be best to make sure we have clean clothes and food in the fridge. Thanks to Diana, who picked us up in the rain from the shuttle bus Saturday night, we had fresh milk for Sunday breakfast. Good friends are truly the gems of life!
I’m off to move laundry from the washer to the dryer. I am flying out to visit my sister near Seattle on Wednesday and I need to unpack and repack by tomorrow night. Thank heavens I don’t have to do this for a living because it would cease to be fun and exciting. I have a healthy respect for road warriors.
